Pumping the brakes

A pause from your regularly scheduled newsletter...

Back in April, I had the opportunity to interview F1 Academy managing director and former racer Susie Wolff for Fortune.

In the studio with her for about an hour, I asked her about women in motorsport, her daily routine on race weekends, and playing motorsports’ finest in padel (she did NOT disclose which F1 driver is the best on-court, so don’t even bother asking). Below are the two pieces I wrote about her ahead of the Spanish Grand Prix race weekend:

I’m very fortunate and grateful to be reporting on F1 as part of my job, getting some pretty wild access to big names in the sport. That being said, I plan to take a pause from weekly race commentary to dig into deeper reporting for my job, enjoy my summer, and work on some longer-form pieces for this newsletter.
